Welcome to the CEU School of Historical and Interdisciplinary Studies!
CEU has been devoted to teaching various branches of historical disciplines since its founding in 1991. This commitment reached a new stage in 2006 by the establishment of the School of Historical and Interdisciplinary Studies, a framework that brings together three accredited teaching units, the Departments of History and Medieval Studies, the Nationalism Studies Program as well as other components related to these teaching units, the Religious Studies Program, the Jewish Studies Project, Pasts, Inc., Center for Historical Studies, the Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies (CEMS) and the Source Language Teaching Group (SLTG). For more information visit the section on "member units".
The School’s mission is to conduct and disseminate advanced research and high-level teaching in the humanities and the social sciences, covering a wide range of fields, from medieval studies and modern history to the history of life sciences and policy studies.
This website provides an overview of all academic programs and faculty members within the School’s framework. We hope that whether you are a prospective graduate student or a colleague from another university curious about historical studies at CEU, you will find here useful links to the fields of your interest.
